Our specialist waistband alteration service helps you adapt your cherished Kitty Joseph skirt—so you can keep wearing what you love, reduce waste, and make thoughtful, lasting investments in your wardrobe.

Eligible Styles
This service is exclusively for authentic Kitty Joseph skirts, specifically the following styles:
- Chroma Skirt
- Mineral Skirt
- Pastel Skirt
We are unable to accept skirts from other brands or Kitty Joseph styles not listed above.
What We Offer
1. Original Fitted Waistband Skirt Conversion
Some of you may have our now-archived fitted waistband skirt style, which features a zip and a visible waistband. You can send these skirts to us and we’ll convert them to a clean finish with a hidden inner elastic for a more comfortable, flexible fit.
Please note: We do not make adjustments to keep the fitted waistband—conversion means the original waistband and zip will be removed and replaced with a clean finish and hidden inner elastic.

2. Elasticated Waistband Skirt Adjustment
If you have one of our more recent skirts with a hidden elasticated waistband, we can adjust the waistband size for you—making it tighter or looser by removing or extending the elastic to your preference.

How It Works

Book the Service:
Purchase the alteration service for £55 (shipping not included). -
Where to Send Your Skirt:
Once your order is placed, we’ll email you with the full address and instructions for sending your skirt. -
Prepare Your Skirt:
Carefully package your eligible Kitty Joseph skirt and include a written note with:- Your full name
- Your email address (matching your order)
- Your telephone number (if you are happy for us to reach out with sizing questions)
- Clear instructions for the alteration—please specify the exact number of centimetres you’d like the waistband to be made larger or smaller
(e.g., “Make waistband 4cm smaller” or “Make waistband 3cm larger”)
We do not accept size labels (like “Medium” or “Size 14”)—please provide the measurement change in centimetres only.

Shipping to Us:
Send your skirt to the address provided by us using tracked shipping at your own cost and risk.- Keep your tracking number safe—we cannot accept responsibility for items lost in transit to us.

Confirm Dispatch:
As soon as you’ve sent your skirt, email info@kittyjoseph.com with:- Your full name
- Your order number
- The parcel’s tracking number
This helps us track incoming skirts and ensures your alteration is processed promptly. -
Alteration Process:
- Allow 10 days for the actual alteration work (not including shipping time).
- If your requested change is very large (e.g., several sizes bigger), we may need to contact you to discuss options.

Return Shipping:
- Once complete, your skirt will be returned to you via tracked shipping.
- The cost of return shipping will be added at checkout.
Important Disclaimers
- We require tracked shipping both ways for your peace of mind.
- For significant adjustments to the waistband size, alteration may not always be possible without affecting the skirt’s length or print. We’ll contact you if your request requires special consideration.
- We reserve the right to decline requests that would compromise the design or integrity of your skirt.
- This service is only available for Chroma, Mineral, and Pastel Skirts by Kitty Joseph.

Turnaround Times:
We aim to complete all alterations within 10 days (plus shipping). However, during periods of high demand, there may be occasional delays. If this happens, we’ll keep you updated and do our best to complete your alteration as soon as possible. -
Urgent Requests:
If you need your skirt altered urgently for a special occasion, please email info@kittyjoseph.com before booking. We’ll do our best to accommodate quicker turnaround times where possible, but cannot guarantee this in every case.
