Transforming Waste into Colour ♻🌈
A Colourful Solution to Waste
Did you know that our pleated Chroma Skirts are made from 100% recycled materials?
Plastic bottle waste is transformed to create a high specification, finely woven fabric known as Rpet. This material enables us to achieve the crisp, permanent pleating required for this style - without the use of virgin synthetics.
We are proud to say that we have now completely eradicated virgin synthetics from our range at KITTY JOSEPH.
Caring for Your Pleats
Although Rpet IS recycled (and in doing so transforms and re-diverts plastic waste that would otherwise likely end up in landfill and our oceans) ... It still is a synthetic.
This is why (being easily machine washable at 30 degrees at home) we recommend using a Guppy Bag or equivalent to capture the synthetic microfibres when washing and protect and preserve your clothes, extending their lifespan further. A great investment not only for looking after our products, but also all the other synthetic clothing you may have in your wardrobe.
And while we are on the topic of pleated skirts: here's a teaser image of our soon to be release Mineral Skirt! Watch this space for news and a launch date...
